Shade for Children

Shade for Children works in Ukraine's Transcarpathia region, where more than 3,500 children live in 25-plus institutions — over 90% of them "social orphans" with living parents, placed there by poverty rather than loss. Alongside orphanage visits and summer camps, they operate Blossom Cottage, a small group home built to give children family-style care the state system was never designed to offer.
